It has been four years since Capcom released the last "Resident Evil" game and the company claimed that the next game is set for 2026, five years after the lastmainline game dropped.
It was revealed that the next game would be called "Resident Evil Requiem," without any mentions of a number like its previous releases in the franchise, and it marks the end of numbered titles in its releases moving forward.
