Face of Britain’s 11th-century ‘Conquest Man’ revealed after 1,000 years

A digital reconstruction and advanced scientific testing have offered a striking glimpse into the face and life of a person who survived the Norman Conquest a millennium ago.

Dubbed "Conquest Man", his skeleton underwent rigorous osteological analysis, isotope testing and ancient DNA profiling by experts from Historic England and English Heritage.
