Captain and crew members ‘taken into custody’ after ferry capsizes off northern Cyprus, killing eight — latest

The ship captain and crew members of a ferry that capsized on Sunday are now in custody, according to Unal Ustel, the self-declared prime minister of Northern Cyprus.

“While our search and rescue efforts continue, an investigation has been immediately launched to uncover how this disaster occurred,” he wrote in a post on Facebook post on Sunday.
