Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue is continuing an investigation into a house fire in Radford, following a request for further inspection. Crews were called to a serious house fire in Alfreton Road at around 6.40pm on Wednesday, August 10.
Roads were cordoned off by Nottinghamshire Police and firefighters from Stockhill, Arnold, West Bridgford and Carlton fire stations attended the scene. It has been reported there were no injuries and everyone has been accounted for.
At 9.30pm, crews were still on the scene as they needed to conduct a fire investigation, due to the severe damage in the property. A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "Crews returned to the incident at 1am (Thursday, August 11) to do a reinspection of the house and then that was completed.
"Then at 9:24am a request for a further inspection was made." The investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
Residents in the area have expressed their shock over the fire and relief that nobody was hurt.
