Republican Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart again slammed Venezuela's authoritarian President Nicolas Maduro, now saying that he "can only negotiate not to have his plane downed when escaping."

The lawmaker made the claim during an interview with Venezuelan journalist and influencer David Placer.
