Republic of Ireland Under-21s boss Jim Crawford has hit out at “uneducated” trolls who sent “unacceptable” racist abuse online to members of the u15 National side.
The FAI has condemned the attacks, which came after the under-15s boys’ team’s back-to-back 6-0 victories over Latvia earlier this week, as “vile and horrific” and announced that they were working with police to hold those responsible accountable.
Crawford, who was preparing his team for Sunday’s friendly against Iceland in Cork when the news broke, was irate when he heard what had happened.
