Reproductive Rights Advocate Criticizes Abortion Restrictions In New Ad

Abortion rights advocates gather to launch their campaign in Orlando

Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign recently unveiled a new ad featuring Hadley Duvall, a reproductive rights advocate and rape survivor who has been featured in various high-profile campaign ads. In this latest ad, Duvall bravely shares her personal story and condemns abortion restrictions, directly attributing blame to former President Donald Trump by stating, 'Trump did this.'

Duvall recounts her traumatic experience of being sexually abused by her stepfather starting at the age of five, leading to her pregnancy at just 12 years old. She highlights the alarming statistic of 64,000 pregnancies resulting from rape in states with total abortion bans, firmly placing responsibility on Trump for these consequences. Duvall emphasizes the importance of women and girls having the freedom to make choices regarding their bodies, expressing her support for Kamala Harris as a candidate who champions these rights.

Hadley Duvall gained recognition during the 2023 Kentucky gubernatorial race when she starred in a powerful ad for Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s reelection campaign, which quickly went viral. Since then, she has emerged as a significant voice in the Democratic Party's advocacy for abortion rights, playing a pivotal role in shaping campaign narratives.

In September, Harris’ campaign launched its initial ad featuring Duvall, investing over $660,000 to broadcast it across key swing states. The latest ad made its debut in Wisconsin today, with an initial budget of approximately $30,000. While specific targeting details are not yet disclosed, the ad is expected to reach a wide audience and further amplify Duvall's impactful message.
