UPDATE: The Tennessee Titans are signing running back Jacques Patrick after a successful workout on Monday (READ MORE).
The Tennessee Titans are reportedly set to take a look at a running back on Monday morning.
According to Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com, the Titans are bringing in running back Jacques Patrick for a workout. The move comes in the wake of fellow running back Jonathan Ward suffering a knee injury that ended his preseason Week 1 early.
A former undrafted free-agent signing of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020, Patrick, who played his college ball at Florida State, has appeared in two games during his career, both coming in 2021 with the San Francisco 49ers, where Titans general manager Ran Carthon was at the time.
The 6-foot-3, 234-pound back tallied two carries for 12 yards in those contests while playing primarily on special teams.

The severity of Ward’s injury remains unknown, but this move might be a sign that the veteran back is set to miss time.
Aside from Ward, the Titans also have Derrick Henry, Tyjae Spears, Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut on the roster. Patrick would be facing an uphill climb to make the cut if signed.
