It probably won’t be long before the Los Angeles Rams announce that they’ve signed Sean McVay to a contract extension. Adam Schefter reported Friday that McVay isn’t pursuing TV opportunities at this time and is committed to the Rams – which the team then celebrated on Twitter with a funny GIF.
What likely drew McVay back to the Rams is a new contract that he’s been in line for, and according to Schefter, it’s expected to be done “soon enough.” McVay still has two years left on his current deal but after winning Super Bowl LVI, a raise and extension are both well-deserved for the Rams coach.
From Super-Bowl Sunday….Now, less than two weeks later, Zac Taylor’s new deal already is done and Sean McVay’s is expected to be soon enough. https://t.co/OeXTYdYrvh

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reported that McVay planned to meet with Amazon about a broadcasting job next week and that Amazon may have offered him as much as $100 million for five years.
The Rams probably aren’t going to give McVay $20 million per year to match that potential offer, but he’ll certainly get a nice bump from his current $8.5 million salary.
