It is one thing when a front office and a coach meet with a player to come to their team. It is quite another when players from said team are also involved in the recruiting process.
According to Aaron Wilson from the Pro Football Network, New Orleans Saints players have been involved in the recruitment of Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. Wilson also reports that three-time Pro Bowl tackle Terron Armstead is standing by to see whether Watson heads to the Crescent City before making his own decisions with regards to his future.
Watson led the Texans against the Saints in Week 1 on Monday Night Football to start the 2019 season. On Sept. 3, 2019, Watson told reporters that then-quarterback Drew Brees, who retired after the 2020 season, was a player that he admired.
