Report: Robert Kraft ‘frustrated, if not downright angry’ with Patriots’ struggles

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has not taken his team’s struggles lightly, and he is reportedly growing increasingly “frustrated” with the situation, according to The Athletic’s Jeff Howe.

New England currently sits with a 1-4 record so far this season, after finishing 8-9 last year. To put it simply, they have not had much success since the departure of Tom Brady. The lack of success has put a spotlight on coach Bill Belichick, and many have begun to wonder if much of the success was because of Brady.

Kraft sent a memo to season ticket holders at the beginning of the calendar year, promising improvements on the field this season. Yet, so far, the Patriots have looked even worse than they did last year.

Howe wrote:

“On multiple occasions in recent years, he has lamented the team’s lack of a postseason victory in the post-Brady era. Kraft has grown frustrated, if not downright angry, over this shortage of success, according to people close to the situation.”

Things could get even bumpier with the Patriots having the toughest schedule in football. One has to wonder if changes will be coming sooner rather than later if the team continues to struggle.
