It appears Michigan State will provide new head coach Jonathan Smith will all of the resources needed to be successful.
Justin Thind of 247Sports is reporting that Michigan State will provide Smith with a larger salary pool for assistant coahes than previous head coach Mel Tucker. According to Stephen Brooks of 247Sports, Tucker’s pool was bumped up to $7.5 million after his extension in 2021.

Michigan State officially announced Smith as their next head coach on Saturday afternoon. He will be heading to Michigan State after experiencing success at Oregon State as a head coach as well.
