The Los Angeles Rams’ quest to winning a second straight Super Bowl begins tonight at SoFi Stadium as they host the Buffalo Bills, and on the morning of kickoff, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Matthew Stafford had an offseason elbow procedure to deal with pain.
Assuming that procedure is referring to the injection Stafford had, that was already well-known and widely reported. But Schefter added that Stafford is feeling better now today than he did at this point last season – when there were no reports about elbow discomfort or any pain in his arm.
That’s good news for the Rams and a positive sign as they begin their 2022 season.
Rams QB Matthew Stafford underwent an off-season elbow procedure to deal with the pain he experienced last season and to help prepare for this season, per sources. Despite the questions about his elbow, Stafford is now said to feel better today than he did at this time last year.

Stafford finished second in the NFL in touchdown passes last year with 41, but he also led the league in interceptions (17). He accomplished the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl, but he’ll look to improve in Year 2 with the Rams.
