Report: Lonzo Ball has small meniscus tear in knee, weighing options

The Chicago Bulls have taken another hit to their backcourt.

First reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, Lonzo Ball has been diagnosed with a small meniscus tear in his left knee and he and the team are currently evaluating treatment options.

Ball has missed the last three games for the Bulls along with Zach LaVine being sidelined with a left knee injury as well. There’s no set timetable for LaVine’s return to the court.

Per Charania, there’s hope that Lonzo can ‘monitor knee and play through it’ but if not, he’ll undergo a ‘minor procedure which would sideline him for several weeks.’ Adrian Wojnarowski os ESPN reported that the Bulls and Ball are expected to make a decision on whether Lonzo receives surgery in the next 24-48 hours.

With Lonzo potentially missing time alongside LaVine, expect Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, and Alex Caruso to step up in their absence.

Stay tuned to Lonzo Wire for updates on Lonzo’s injury.
