Report: Lakers Agree to Thomas Bryant Trade With Nuggets

The Lakers aren’t done making moves ahead of Thursday’s 3 p.m. ET NBA trade deadline. After the big three-team deal with the Jazz and Timberwolves that saw them send out Russell Westbrook and acquire D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt, they now have an agreement with the Nuggets centered on Thomas Bryant

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, L.A. will send Bryant to the first-place Denver squad in exchange for reserve guard Davon Reed and second-round picks in 2025, ’26 and ’29.

The 25-year-old Bryant, who began his career with the Lakers before a four-season stint with the Wizards, has been productive this season. In 41 games (25 starts), he’s averaging 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, shooting .654 from the field and connecting on 22-of-50 threes on the year.

Reed has seen limited time in Denver, averaging 2.3 points in nine minutes per game, with 35 total appearances.

Denver sits atop the Western Conference at 38–17 while the Lakers are battling for their playoff lives at 25–30 and in 13th place.
