The Knicks have signed guard Josh Hart to a four-year, $81 million contract extension, according to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Hart’s contract with New York will now pay him $94 million through the 2027–28 season.
Hart was traded from the Trail Blazers to the Knicks at the deadline last February in exchange for Cam Reddish, Ryan Arcidiacono, Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2023 first-round pick. Hart immediately integrated to the Knicks as a core member of the backcourt rotation alongside former Villanova teammate Jalen Brunson.
In 25 games with the Knicks, Hart averaged 10.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game on 58.6% shooting from the floor and a 51.9% mark from three. He looked far more comfortable in the Knicks system alongside Brunson than he did in Portland running alongside Damian Lillard.
