According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns will welcome back two of their best players Tuesday when Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal rejoin the lineup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Durant has missed Phoenix’s last seven games, while Beal’s been sidelined for its past five outings.
Both Durant and Beal are dealing with calf injuries, but Charania reports that they “completed consecutive days of full practices before Tuesday’s game.”
After jumping out to an 8-1 start this season, the Suns have faltered down two starters. They went 1-6 in Durant’s absence and are amid a five-game losing streak since Beal went down. They’re now 9-7 and eighth in the West.
Durant is averaging 27.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 blocks in nine games this season. Beal’s also played nine games, averaging 17.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals. They’ll look to help snap Phoenix’s recent slide Tuesday night against the 10-6 Lakers.
