The Jets know it will be an uphill battle at this point to retain the services of edge Bryce Huff when the legal tampering period begins on Monday. According to a report by Dianna Russini of The Athletic, one team has emerged as one that will aggressively pursue Huff. That team is the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles have been shopping both Josh Sweat and Haasan Riddick for the last few weeks. Look for Philadelphia to aggressively pursue Bryce Huff in free agency.

The Eagles are reportedly discussing trades involving two in-house edge-rushers in Josh Sweat and Hassan Reddick. Time will tell if the Eagles do eventually swap those two for Huff. If so, Huff would have the opportunity to be on the field more, something he is actively looking for and something he likely would not get in New York with the Jets, especially with the team wanting to see more out of 2023 first-round pick Will McDonald, or so they hope.
Losing Huff, who led the Jets with ten sacks last season, would obviously be a huge blow for the Jets. Sure, they may get a compensatory pick for him, but the production won’t be easy to replace. The Jets had a chance to lock Huff up a long time ago and it didn’t happen. They’re likely going to pay the price very soon.
