The Miami Dolphins have had an eventful offseason already, despite being eliminated just two weeks ago.
Miami fired defensive coordinator Josh Boyer, and three of his assistant coaches at the end of the season. Assistant Patrick Surtain left for a job with Florida State. Now, Outkick’s Armando Salguero is reporting that the Dolphins have parted ways with offensive line coach Matt Applebaum.
The Dolphins have struggled to find consistency coaching the offensive line, as they will be looking for their 10th new coach for the group in nine years.
While Miami’s big bodies up front were improved from the 2021 season, injuries seemed to slow them down. Terron Armstead, Liam Eichenberg and Austin Jackson, who were all projected to start the season, dealt with significant ailments at points. Jackson ended up playing only two games.
The Dolphins could benefit from consistency from that coaching position
