As the Miami Dolphins continue to gear up for the NFL Draft along with the 31 other teams, the team has had a few draft prospects in for meetings before the three-day event, including Baylor safety JT Woods and Georgia linebacker Channing Tindall.
Now, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, the Dolphins have added another name to the list – California linebacker Cameron Goode.
In his four years as a Golden Bear, Goode recorded 172 total tackles, 20.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions that were returned for touchdowns.
2021 was Goode’s second-best collegiate season. He was named second-team All-Pac-12 and recorded 45 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
To this point, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound linebacker has been considered a late-round pick and considering the Dolphins only have four picks in this draft, all coming after the second round, Goode should be in play for them.
It could be argued that Miami’s biggest need is linebacker, so Miami should be looking at a number of prospects at the position to make an impact.
