Report: Dolphins Agree to Deal With WR Chosen Anderson

The Dolphins are adding another experienced wide receiver to the mix alongside Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle

According to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, Miami has agreed to a contract with veteran receiver Chosen Anderson, formerly known as Robbie Anderson.

Anderson announced the decision via his Instagram story, writing “I’m coming home” and tagging the Dolphins’ account. The 29-year-old attended high school in Plantation, Fla., and seems eager for a fresh start in Miami.

The seven-year veteran spent last season with the Panthers and Cardinals. He was released midseason from Arizona after just 10 games, and latched on in Carolina, where he featured in six games, and had also spent the previous two seasons.

In total, Anderson had 20 receptions for 282 yards and one touchdown, in what was his worst statistical season to date.

In addition to his stints with the Panthers and Cardinals, Anderson played the first four years of his NFL career with the Jets, so this will be his second time playing in the AFC East. Anderson was an undrafted free agency signing by the Jets, having played his college ball at Temple.

He’ll look to add some depth to a Dolphins’ wide receivers room which already consists of Hill and Waddle, as well as Braxton Berrios, Cedrick Wilson Jr., River Cracraft, and Freddie Swain.
