After Tuesday night’s Boston Celtics loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, guard Derrick White reportedly did not travel back to Boston with the team. After the game, White was having trouble with hearing in his left ear and is seeking support from a specialist in Milwaukee.
At the time of this writing, it’s unclear what caused the injury. It appeared Bucks guard Grayson Allen hit White with an inadvertent elbow during the game. White gestured to the Celtics bench after the play, though this has not been confirmed to be the source of the problems. White was stellar in Boston’s short-handed overtime loss despite the apparent injury. White led the way for the Celtics with 27 points, 12 assists and 3 steals.
The Celtics play at home Wednesday night against the Pistons. White’s availability for that game is unknown at this time.
