Report: Cowboys Retaining Donovan Wilson on Three-Year Deal

The Cowboys will bring back safety Donovan Wilson on a three-year deal, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo on Tuesday.

The deal is worth up to $24 million in the first two seasons with $13.5 million fully guaranteed, Garafolo added.

Wilson won’t officially sign a new contract until Wednesday, March 15 at 4 p.m. ET when the league year officially begins.

The safety has spent all four years of his NFL career in Dallas, and now he will remain with the Cowboys at least for the next three years. He’s started in 30 games and appeared in a total of 51 games over the last four seasons.

Last season, Wilson started in all 17 regular season games for the first time in his career. He finished with a combined 101 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception.
