The Cincinnati Bengals will have defensive end Trey Hendrickson for Thursday night’s showdown with the Baltimore Ravens.
According to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Hendrickson is expected to play.
This is a stunning turnaround for Hendrickson, who reportedly suffered a hyperextended knee at the end of last Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans.
But with Bengals head coach Zac Taylor calling the star pass-rusher just day-to-day on Tuesday, it was clear either the injury wasn’t as severe as reported or something else led to the quick turnaround.
And as we pointed out while suggesting not to count out Hendrickson, he’s the guy who played through a broken wrist last year.
Even so, an injury Sunday that turns into playing Thursday — in a game the team is calling a playoff game in November — is quite impressive for Hendrickson.
