The Washington Commanders held a training camp pep rally at FedEx Field Friday, on the same day that new owner Josh Harris was introduced.
It was also the day that Washington’s rookies were scheduled to report to training camp. Ahead of camp, the Commanders had two rookies unsigned: first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes and second-round pick Quan Martin.
Forbes is unsigned no more, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston.
#Commanders signed first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes to fully guaranteed $15.407 million deal with $8.205 million signing bonus, and guaranteed training camp roster bonuses of $535,344, $800,000 and $900,00 in 2024, 2025 and 2026

Forbes, who finished his college career at Mississippi State with 13 career interceptions, is the FBS’ all-time leader in interceptions returned for touchdowns.
The No. 16 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft turned heads at the rookie minicamp and throughout OTAs. Forbes is expected to play a big role on Washington’s defense in 2023.
