The Indianapolis Colts reportedly had a virtual meeting with UCLA guard Atonio Mafi ahead of the 2023 NFL draft.
While the Colts haven’t addressed the interior offensive line yet during free agency (as of this writing), there’s an expectation they will make some sort of move before the draft.
Even if they do, they are still likely to use one of their selections on an interior offensive line prospect. Mafi now should be included as a potential target for the Colts after they held a virtual meeting.
Adding here: In addition to #Lions and #Commanders, Mafi has Top 30s with #49ers and #Cowboys, per source.
Mafi recently had dinner/workout with #Saints. Met virtually with #Colts and #Broncos. https://t.co/pjI3pkrQMa

Mafi is currently projected to be a Day 3 pick after spending his collegiate career with the Bruins. He started out as a defensive lineman before switching to the interior offensive line in 2020.
Here’s what Brentley Weissman of The Draft Network said about Mafi in his scouting report:
Mafi plays with good bend and balance but must work on his hand placement as he often will miss with his hands resulting in him overextending and falling on the ground. Mafi is still raw and will only continue to develop with more playing time. His size and power are both outstanding and must also be monitored as his weight has been an issue while at UCLA and he must continue to keep his body in shape. If he accomplishes this, Mafi has the talent and skill set to develop into a starting NFL guard in a power-run scheme.
The Colts will have plenty of Day 3 picks to work with, barring a trade-up, and Mafi could be on the board for Indy when that time comes around.
