The Indianapolis Colts reportedly held a formal meeting with Louisville edge rusher Yaya Diaby, according to Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network.
Diaby likely raised his draft stock considerably after testing at a near elite level during the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium this week.

Measuring in at 6-foot-3 and 263 pounds with 33 7/8-inch arms, Diaby ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds while posting a 10-yard split of 1.56 seconds. Those are all traits the Colts love to see in their edge rushers. He also posted a stellar 37-inch vertical.
Suffice it to say, Diaby is athletic, length and explosive.
Diaby exploded during the 2022 season for Louisville. In 13 games, he recorded 37 tackles (22 solo), 9.0 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and two passes defended.
The Colts need to add some depth to the edge rusher room behind Kwity Paye and Dayo Odeyingbo, both of which are entering their third seasons. It remains to be seen what will happen with pending free agent Yannick Ngakoue, but Diaby profiles as a potential LEO in Gus Bradley’s defense.
We’ll see if anything else comes from the interest the Colts have in Diaby, but he’s certainly a name to watch after the first round.
