The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers will renew their fierce rivalry on Christmas Day, according to a report by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The game will be played at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Last season, the Celtics won both contests of their two-game series against the Lakers, much to the chagrin of Purple and Gold fans around the globe.
As such, the Celtics will head into hostile territory on Dec. 25 as another chapter in the storied rivalry prepares to be written – and the Lakers look to exact revenge. Following the Celtics’ recent offseason additions, Boston will hope their big three, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis, are all available for the Christmas Day game.
While the Lakers will likely roll out a fearsome duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Entering the new NBA season, Boston will be billed as one of the genuine championship contenders and will be out to make their presence felt against other high-level teams — and that could spell trouble for the Lakers on Christmas Day.
