It might be the most overhyped, yet little-known recruitment of the last few years. We are, of course, talking about LeBron James’ son, Bronny, and what his intentions are regarding a college career.
Ohio State has been linked to the younger James since a report listed his top three schools as USC, Oregon and the Buckeyes. However, we haven’t really heard much from the James camp other than some very brief comments about making a choice that makes sense for him.

According to Adam Zagoria, James plans to play in the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Oregon, this weekend for Team USA, and he could announce his decision after the tournament.
“I’m sure he will make his decision real soon,” a person close to James told Forbes. The source is not authorized to speak for the family.

So, could it ultimately be Ohio State that James chooses. His father has said on multiple occasions he would have attended the school had he not been able to go directly to the NBA when he graduated high school? The school has a ceremonial locker for James and a wall of shoes dedicated to his line of sneakers?
With the recent news of the commitment of Minnesota forward Jamison Battle to the OSU program, the younger James’ decision might hinge on whether Brice Sensabaugh stays in the NBA draft, which would create roster room for him.
Either way, I’m sure the commitment will come with great fanfare and celebration whenever and wherever the news takes us, so stay tuned.
