Prior to meeting the Seattle Seahawks in the Pacific Northwest on Thursday Night Football, the San Francisco 49ers received some positive news regarding one of their sidelined playmakers.
2024 first-round pick Ricky Pearsall has spent the first six games of his rookie campaign on the injured reserve after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest in late August. Pearsall was the victim of an attempted robbery in San Francisco where he was shot in the chest.
Before Thursday Night Football in Seattle, NFL Reporter Albert Breer provided a positive update on Pearsall’s highly-anticipated return to the field. According to Breer, the former Florida Gator is set to return to practice next week.

Pearsall was selected in the first round of April’s NFL draft by the 49ers out of Florida. Pearsall spent most of his rookie training camp sidelined as he dealt with a shoulder injury.
In his final season at Florida, Pearsall racked up 965 yards and four touchdowns for the Gators.
