Repairs at a pub damages in a BMW crash could reportedly take months to fix.
Police were called to Heyworth Street shortly after 8pm on Tuesday night to reports a car had crash into the front of the pub. People were evacuated into the street as crews from Merseyside Fire and Rescue also attended.
Officers closed the road from Breck Road to Hamilton Road to carry out investigation work. No injuries were reported and the crash was damage only.

Robbie Frazier, who works at May Duncan's, told the ECHO on Wednesday morning that "everything's alright" at the pub but it could be some time before the damage is fixed.
He added: "It will take a few months to repair. It's all up in the air. We've got builders in now trying to make everything secure and sort things out."
Pictures taken at the pub after the crash showed builders working on the damage. A number of wooden boards were placed over the front of the building where a hole was left after the crash.
Merseyside Police said the incident was a "damage only collision", and added: "No injuries were caused and the driver stopped at the scene."
A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival, crews were met with a car having collided with the front of a building, which is severely damaged. This is a single storey extension to a pub."
The BMW was removed from the scene on a recovery truck with pieces of the bodywork and a headlight left on the floor outside the pub. May Duncan's was then boarded up and made safe by a structural engineer.
Merseyside Police confirmed the road was reopened around 10.40pm.
