Longtime Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a California Democrat who has been serving in Congress since 1995 and is a member of the House January 6 committee, recently added her voice to the growing number of congressional Democrats urging President Joe Biden not to run for re-election in 2024.

In a letter addressed to President Biden, Lofgren expressed concerns about the potential risks of another Donald Trump presidency. She highlighted the possibility of Biden's candidacy leading to a loss in the White House and negatively impacting crucial House and Senate races down the ballot.
