One of the great television actors of the last few decades has died.
Silver screen great Andre Braugher died on Monday at the age of 61 after a brief illness, according to Deadline.
The Emmy-award winning actor appeared on some of the most recognizable shows of their time, including the groundbreaking police procedural drama Homicide: Life on the Street, TNT drama Men of a Certain Age and beloved cop sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
He also appeared in films like Glory, The Mist, Primal Fear, City of Angels, Salt and She Said.
It’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine that gave Braugher his most memorable role of Captain Raymond Holt, a character he played for 153 episodes.
