A man from Bridge of Weir who went missing one week ago has been found safe and well.
George Brown, who is also known as Douglas, went missing on Friday, September 30 when he disappeared from the Cameron House Hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond.
The 66-year-old was not heard from or seen by any of his family in the subsequent hours and days.
Police subsequently launched an urgent search to track down the pensioner amid "growing concern" for his welfare.
And it was confirmed today that George had been found with members of the public thanked for their support.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are pleased to confirm that George Brown, 66, who has been reported missing from the Bridge of Weir area, has been traced safe and well.
"Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
