Killer David Parfitt - who was jailed 19 years ago for the manslaughter of PC Ged Walker - has been spared jail after he hurled abuse at police. Parfitt directed a "tirade of abuse" at officers, said Stephan Fox, prosecuting, shouting at one he was a ****, a ******* *******, fat bald-headed ****, and a fat bald-headed *******".
Nottingham Crown Court heard the offence fell under the Public Order Act, and began after police responded to a disturbance in Godfrey Lane, Lenton, on February 24 this year. Parfitt, who pleaded guilty, was banging and kicking at the door of a house - behaviour captured on a doorbell camera and seen by a judge who sentenced him.
When police arrived, drunk Parfitt launched his verbal abuse, telling one officer he would "ruin him", and to choose an alleyway with no CCTV - indicating that he was calling him out for a fight.
