A British couple have warned others against getting so-called 'turkey teeth' after forking out £4,000 for the procedure.
Jade Tushingham, 32, and her partner Kelly Tushingham, 30, travelled to Antalya in Turkey in September 2022 in order to gain a new pair of winning smiles.
But their dreams soon turned into a 'nightmare' after their new veneers left them in 'constant pain' and unable to eat or drink.

The couple, who were lured by the cheap price of the new teeth, had been encouraged by friends who had had the surgery before and told them it didn't hurt. But they now say the decision has ruined their lives".
The procedure, which involves shaving down the teeth before fitting veneers over the top has left them in agony. Jade from Chester told the Manchester Evening News: "Even now, we're both still in constant pain. All the food at the hotel looked beautiful, but we just couldn't eat any of it.
"We survived on mashed potatoes and soup, even drinking was difficult as our teeth were so sensitive. Looking back now, we 100 per cent would not have had it done."
"It's cost us so much money and it's been hell. We used some savings we already had to pay for it doing. They look lovely, and in pictures are perfect but it's like a nightmare.''
The couple who had planned a relaxing beach holiday after the procedure arrived at the clinic on September 24, 2022, which was located not far from their hotel. The pair were in near-instant pain as their teeth were filed down.
Jade and Kelly were then made to wait five hours with “shark teeth” before having temporary veneers fitted. They were told to keep the temporary veneers in for five days before permanent ones could be fitted.
They struggled to eat or drink while at the hotel as their shaved-down “stubs” made it difficult for them due to the sensitivity. Upon returning to the clinic they said there was “blood everywhere”.
The pair were initially told they wouldn’t need to be numbed but soon asked to be because of how much pain they were in. Jade and Kelly were happy with the appearance of their new teeth afterwards, but after leaving Turkey a week later they were still in severe pain, reports the Daily Record.
The pair messaged the dentist on Instagram and were told to take ibuprofen which they say didn't help. They could now be forced to fly back to Turkey to have them fixed as "no dentists in the UK would even touch them”.
In total, the couple have spent £4,240, considerably cheaper than the £20,000 it can cost in the UK. Despite the lower price, they've now been warning their friends against getting them done.
Jade said: "Our teeth visually do look lovely, and we have people asking us all the time where we had them done because they want theirs doing. We always say no, absolutely do not have them done. We would never recommend them to anyone."
