Just about everyone — Washington Commanders fans and NFL aficionados — couldn’t believe that pass interference wasn’t called on the New York Giants’ Darnay Holmes on Sunday night on the play that ultimately decided Big Blue’s Week 15 win.
Heck, I’m a Giants fan and I’ll say it: This should have been pass interference!
Here’s the situation: The Commanders had a fourth-and-goal and were down eight. Curtis Samuel was one on one with Holmes, who basically draped himself all over the receiver. When the ball came Samuel’s way, it was an incomplete pass. Game over, Giants win a key game in the NFC playoff race.
But … man:

Even ex-ref and NBC rules expert Terry McAulay said so:
NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay says refs missed a DPI on Curtis Samuel:
“This is defensive pass interference … it’s always a foul and should have been called.” pic.twitter.com/8teYF6UBxd

Where was the flag?? Ron Rivera seemed pretty disgusted by the officiating in general:
