Reece James and Noni Madueke are among several Chelsea stars who have publicly sent Mykhailo Mudryk messages of support following an impressive debut against Liverpool. The 22-year-old winger was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal at the start of month, only for the Blues to swoop in and hijack the deal.
Mudryk appeared off the bench in the second half of the west Londoners' goalless draw at Anfield and, despite a small sample size, he looks to fit Graham Potter's system like a glove. Despite not having featured in a competitive clash since November for Shakhtar Donetsk, the Ukraine international looked the sharpest player on the pitch.
He injected intensity to the Chelsea side and proved to be a constant threat, forcing Jurgen Klopp to replace the yellow-carded James Milner for Trent Alexander-Arnold. After the game, Mudryk posted a message on Instagram declaring his delight at making his Blues debut.

But, the winger is looking to impress in front of the home faithful when Chelsea welcome Fulham to Stamford Bridge on February 3. With a blue heart emoji, Mudryk wrote: "Debut for @chelseafc on the Anfield is good, but can’t wait to my debut on the Stamford Bridge."
James, Madueke and Trevoh Chalobah all left comments under their new teammates' post. The former commented with a lightning emoji, while Madueke and Chalobah said that Mudryk is just warming up.
The Chelsea trio were just three of over six-thousand people showing the Ukrainian some love. Potter did as well after the game; though in the post-match press conference and not on Instagram.
"He’s not played since November, hasn’t had any game time, so it would’ve been a risk to play him from the start," the Blues boss said. "It was more managing his minutes at the backend of the game. We thought it was the right time to bring him in.
"He was really good. He’s only been with us a couple of days and he’ll get better the more he is with us and the more we understand him and the more he understands us. But promising signs.
"He’s had two sessions with us but from watching him at Shakhtar, seeing his quality there, he is dangerous in one-vs-one situations, in the final third he can make things happen, he’ll get supporters off their seats.
"Dribbling actions are really high and he knows where the goal is. Our job is to help him settle into the team, help him settle into the country and league, and gain an understanding of us and how we can help him."
