Redfall release time: here's when you can start hunting vampires

Redfall is launching tomorrow on Tuesday May 2, and players are keen to know exactly when they can jump in and bash up some vampires in Arkane Austin's latest open world title.

Bethesda's first Xbox exclusive – following Microsoft's purchase of Bethesda back in 2020 – is finally upon us, Arkane Austin's open world vampire hunting simulator Redfall. Despite the game receiving some bad news on the leadup to release (such as a 30fps lock on Xbox Series X, and that a PlayStation version was in development, but cancelled following the buyout) plenty of us are keen to try out Arkane's latest considering the studios incredible track record with games like Deathloop and Prey under its belt. Plus, it's going to be Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost for players on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC with crossplay enabled between all three (sadly, it's skipping Xbox One alongside PS4 and PS5).

Redfall launches tomorrow, on Tuesday, May 2, and is a four-player co-op shooter in which you and a sqaud of fellow vampire hunters must – shocker – hunt vampires in the titular town. There are four unique characters to choose from in the game, each with their own set of skills and abilities, such as the telekinetic-enhanced Layla Ellison or stealthy soldier man Jacob Boyer. The game is available to preload now on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the special Redfall Bite Back Edition also available (offering some extra cosmetic goodies).

Redfall release time

Arkane has confirmed the exact time that players will be able to boot up Redfall on it's Twitter account, and that will be on Tuesday, May 2 at 1am BST for the UK and Monday, May 1 at 8pm EDT / 5pm PDT for the US. The game will release at the same time globally so the typical Xbox tactic of changing your location to New Zealand sadly won't do you any good this time.

As we mentioned the preload is available now. Considering the game is a whopping 103.29GB on PC, it's no slouch on console either, coming in at 77.31GB on Xbox Series X and 40.37GB on Xbox Series S so we'd recommend getting that preload installed as soon as possible so you can start your career in vampire hunting as soon as possible.
