If the multiverse exists, have you ever played with your thoughts, thinking about a better version of Bangkok? And if you did, let's see if it matches the exhibitions of the Wonder of Well-being (Wow) Festival or not.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has joined forces with The Association of Siamese Architects, alongside public and private sector partners, to illustrate a kaleidoscope of a smart city through the Wow Festival. The project came about with the concept of a ‘well-being city’ and is also a part of ‘Colourful Bangkok 2022’ by BMA, which aims to reinvigorate the City of Angels once again.
Visitors can experience city living beyond reality through various exhibitions and festivities at these four highlight zones.
‘Thematic Pavilion’ unveils different futuristic versions of Thailand in the next 10 years, with the ‘Future City’ exhibition being the highlight. It depicts the effects of technology on humanity. 'Festival in the Park' gets you in touch with nature. You can find photogenic spots, pop-up restaurants and bars, live performances and outdoor screenings hidden amidst the lush Benjakitti Forest Park.
Be a part of the changes by attending a panel discussion at ‘City Co-Creation & Forum’, which allows you to exchange opinions and hear out what the guest speakers want to share about the modern solution for a better future. You can also support local artists and vendors at ‘Wow Art & Design Market’, which sells everything from art pieces to handicrafts, home ornaments, plants and food or drinks.
Check out ‘Fun & Recreation’ activities, such as ‘Exploring Wonder Park’, a leisurely photowalk curated by National Geographic Thailand to explore the park while snapping some photos; ‘Walk Together, Be Together’, a mini-marathon race to challenge your fitness, and wholesome workshops by Cheewajit Magazine.
The Wow Festival runs until this weekend, from 10am-9pm, at Benjakitti Park. Visit fb.com/ASAWOW.
