A Redditor shared the feelings of losing the last chance at the H-1B lottery but got picked on by US-based commentators who made fun of the 'entitlement' of foreigners who think they have a right to stay in the US. The results of the first wage-based lottery were announcement through the weekends and it was wrapped up by April 1 as from April 1, the companies will be filing the petitions for the candidates who got selected.
The Redditor was devastated; said the coworkers were crying as this was the last chance for the individual to stay in the US. "My H1B didn’t get picked again this year. This was my last chance, and I’m honestly devastated. It still doesn’t feel real. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs, but I’ve always worked hard and managed to get this far. Because of that, I always think of myself as a lucky person… but I guess not in this case," the post read.
