KOLKATA: A vast stretch of the City of Joy was submerged in red and gold hue as newly-crowned Super Cup champions East Bengal FC on Monday returned home to a hero's welcome.

East Bengal beat hosts Odisha FC 3-2 to lift the Super Cup at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Sunday, thus ending their 12 years of heartbreak in winning a major national trophy.
