Red flags early with female contraceptive, lawyers say

There were red flags about risks involved with a permanent female contraceptive as early as 1999, lawyers representing women who were later forced to undergo hysterectomies have claimed.

Hundreds of thousands of women worldwide were implanted with the Essure device.
