The Princess of Wales is known to juggle her royal duties with bringing up her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Kate is said to be determined to give the royal kids the most normal upbringing they can - and is said to be a very hands-on parent alongside husband Prince William. So much so that she once revealed how she attempted to pick up a special skill around the time of her first pregnancy and when oldest son George was born so she could make him a special present. But she admitted it turned into a disaster as she was "really bad" at the skill - despite having an artistic side.
So what was it that she tried to learn? Well, it turns out it was knitting.
Kate first revealed she was trying her hand at knitting way back in 2013 when she was pregnant with George.
According to Hello!, she told a group of royal fans while visiting Glasgow: "I've been trying to knit and I'm really bad. I should be asking for tips!"
In 2020, during a trip to Bradford, Kate visited Older Yet Wiser - an organisation that supports grandparents - and met with some grandmothers who were showing off their crocheting skills.
And there she confessed that her attempts to knit George a jumper had completely failed.
She told the group: "I tried knitting when I first had George. I tried to knit him a very special jumper, but I got halfway down and it splattered. It's such an amazing skill."
The last week has been largely spent under the radar for Kate, with no public outings for her or William.
And it turns out this is because George, Charlotte and Louis are currently in the middle of a two-week half-term holiday from their new school.
The trio broke up for the holidays over a week ago and doesn't have to return to class at Lambrook until Monday, October 31.
In the past, William and Kate have wound down their public appearances during holiday times in order to spend precious family time with their children.
In fact, it is believed during the October holidays last year that the family jetted off for an exciting holiday in Jordan.
And fans got a glimpse of the trip last year as a beautiful family photo taken in Jordan featured on William and Kate's Christmas card last year.
The children are said to be settling in well to their new school, which they started in September at what proved to be a "tense time".
On the day that classes began, George, Charlotte and four-year-old Louis learned that their great-grandmother the Queen, who they called 'Gan Gan' had died aged 96.
And a source close to the Waleses told PEOPLE magazine that it proved to be a "stressful" time - especially for Kate.
They said: "Things were very tense that week; it was not exactly the settling-in period they had hoped for."
However, another friend added that despite the tense start, the family are now relishing their move to Windsor with the children able to "freely play" in the open parkland.
