Reckless Edinburgh motorcyclist attempts dangerous overtake on busy city street

An Edinburgh motorcyclist was caught on camera as they tried a reckless overtake near a busy roundabout.

The individual stunned passers-by on Monday (May 2) as they hurtled along Broomhouse Drive towards a corner and upcoming traffic.

Filmed at around 1pm, the driver could be seen speeding well over the 30mph limit as they began to swerve around a Lothian Bus and several cars.

Pulling round the outside of a white Nissan making its way along the road, the bike continues on the opposite side of the road for some time before appearing to try and move back in after noticing approaching cars.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, one concerned resident stated that the bike had been without a registration and was not the first to cause chaos in the area.

They said: "It was down the wrong side of road regardless of oncoming traffic, the bike had no registration plates.

"This was actually the second bike that had passed, if this continues someone is going to get seriously hurt."
