These events have heightened awareness of the region's susceptibility to earthquakes.
On Monday, another earthquake hit the area, prompting the Los Angeles Fire Department to activate its earthquake response protocols. Crews at 106 fire stations conducted surveys of their districts to assess any potential damage or injuries. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries or structural damage following the earthquake.
