Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma appeared to have the time of their lives during their recent trip to Dubai
(Picture: Getty Images for Atlantis The Royal)Rebel Wilson appeared on cloud nine as she enjoyed a sun-filled break with girlfriend Ramona Agruma and their baby daughter Royce in Dubai.
The Bridesmaids actress, 42, and her designer other half, 38, flew to the United Arab Emirates at the weekend for the launch of new 5-star hotel Atlantis The Royal, which proclaims to be “the most ultra-luxury experential resort in the world,” spanning 63 hectares. It boasts 795 rooms and suites, 92 swimming pools and Michelin starred dining.
Also getting a taste of the high life was little Royce, whose arrival Wilson was announced via surrogate in November.
The Australian native gave fans an insight into their exploits on Instagram, which in addition to some family bonding by their own private pool, saw them get in some quality couple time, too.
This included taking in a private 90-minute show by megastar Beyonce – for which she was reportedly paid $24m (£19m) – followed by an elaborate fireworks display and DJ set by Swedish House Mafia.
“Atlantis The Royal is BEYond! What a weekend with BEY!” she said of the once-in-a-lifetime gig, which was also attended by the likes of Kendall Jenner, Liam Payne, Ellen Pompeo, plus, celebrity couples Mark Wright, Michelle Keegan, Marvin and Rochelle Humes, Ronan and Storm Keating.
The following day, Wilson and Agruma looked cute as they opted to wear the same dress in different colours for a special brunch hosted by world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa at his newly opened Nobu By The Beach.
Wilson beamed as she posed for snaps with Matsuhisa and sampled his mind-blowing sake and sushi selection.
She also shared a clip with model and Real Housewives of Dubai star Chanel Ayan, 45, who could be heard telling Wilson how delighted she was to meet her, raving about her humour.
It wasn’t all go-go-go, however, as after the brunch they got to chill with the Standard spotting them at the hotel’s AWAKEN spa.
Dressed in matching robes and sliders, they seemed excited as they prepared to head into their treatments, having first been invited to choose an affirmation card and reiki stone to determine what their body and soul needed most in that moment.
Afterwards, they had the run of the sauna, snow shower, Himalayan salt therapy and experience shower with aromatherapy, light and sound effects, plus, meditation garden and lap pool.
While Wilson appeared to have the time of her life on the trip, she faced criticism from fans, who pointed out that the United Arab Emirates is well-known for its anti-LGBTQ+ laws.
After coming out last June and announcing her same-sex relationship, some were baffled why she would want to even go there, let alone promote it.
Not letting the haters get to her, she doubled down on her support of Dubai by posting even more photos enthusing about her stay.
“If you haven’t heard of the term ‘visibility’ then I guess you should look it up,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories defiantly.
