Rebekah Vardy to 'tell her side' as legal battle puts strain on her and family

Rebekah Vardy is set to tell her side of the story after she was accused of leaking fake Instagram stories. The 40 year old was set to share her side of the story in an ITV interview, where she stands by her denial and insists she was not the one who posted the Instagram stories planted by Coleen Rooney.

The WAG is married to Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy, and was seen saying in a preview clip "I will say that 'til I'm blue in the face. I did not do it!" She said in response to another question: "I feel let down by a lot of people, a lot of things.

But most importantly I feel let down by the legal system." The mother of five has been dealing with a High Court battle with former friend Coleen, which has put a strain on both her and her family, reports The Daily Mirror.

Rebecca's father, Carlos Miranda, works as a chauffeur in Bournemouth and spoke out in support of her. Mr Miranda said: "I'm protective of her."

He does not think their friendship will ever recover, adding "I don't think Becky will be talking to her." Rebecca's mum Alison split from Carlos when Rebecca was 11, and has said no word about the court case.

The mother and daughter fell out when Alison did not attend Rebecca's wedding to Jamie at Peckforton Castle, Chesire. Instead of joining in the celebrations, Alison and her husband Iain spent the day more than a hundred miles away at their home in Oxfordshire.

Alison refused to elaborate on the cause of the rift. At the time she said: "We'd rather not say why even though it's obvious people are now going to be wondering why the bride's mother isn't at her 34-year-old daughter's wedding.

"I can appreciate that people are interested in them as a couple but we want our privacy and don't want to get involved in any publicity. Things change and while there might be issues, we don't want to comment on the reason why we didn't go."

Jamie's parents and maternal grandparents also did not attend the wedding. At the time, a source close to the couple said: "He’s got everything going for him apart from a normal and happy relationship with some of his family.

"He hasn’t spoken to his own mum and dad for 18 months and they've not been invited to the wedding. Jamie's victory is bittersweet. He's fallen out with his family because of his girlfriend.

"It's such a pity they can't all celebrate his sporting glory and new wedded life." Jamie and Rebecca first met in 2014, when she was a party planner who was organising his 27th birthday in Sheffield. Rebecca already had two children, Megan and Taylor, and he had his daughter Ella from ex Emma Daggett.

Shortly before the pair married their daughter Sofia arrived. Jamie's step dad Phil Vardy brought Jamie up from when he was a baby, and said their relationship caused a big family rift.

Phil said: "We won't be going to the wedding. It’s not right to talk about it at such a time.

"It’s been going on ever since she came on the scene. It’s a shame and very sad.

"I don’t have anything directly to do with my son anymore but I’m still his biggest fan from afar. I’m very proud."

He added: "I have given him 22 years of life to get him to the pinnacle of his career, and I can't enjoy it. I don't have anything to do with him anymore and it really upsets me."

Phil revealed that he helped the former factory hand through his troubled days in non-league football, and that he still goes to watch his son play anonymously. He added: "I follow every single thing Jamie does.

"I’m there at every game but he doesn’t know. He has no idea.

"I can only enjoy it from the sidelines. It really upsets me. I don’t talk to Jamie, my family doesn’t talk to him."

Speaking about the wedding, Jamie's mum Lisa added: “I’ll never say anything about my son, good or bad. I’m not bothered.

"I get up go to work and look after my family. I’ll not be at any fancy wedding." Jamie's grandfather, Gerald Clewes, was also missing from the guest list, and he had previously claimed that Rebecca had come between the sports star and his mother.
