Rebekah Vardy says kids had to be driven to school with bin bags on windows amid case

Rebekah Vardy has sensationally detailed how the Wagatha Christie case affected her kids' every day lives.

The mum-of-five, 40, confessed in a reveal-all interview that the biggest difficulty amid the fallout of the case was knowing how badly it could affect her children.

Rebekah was speaking to TalkTV's Kate McCann in a bid to restore her reputation a week after a High Court judge ruled in Coleen Rooney's favour in the blockbuster £3million Wagatha Christie libel battle.

She took the 36-year-old to court in May over the 2019 Instagram post where Coleen, 36, accused her Instagram account of leaking stories about her personal life to the press.

And she emotionally claimed: "The kids at the beginning were having to be driven to school in cars with bin liners against the windows because of the press intrusion here. It just went crazy."

She continued: "I was just a normal mum and now I was being a mum that was being called all sorts of things in the press and on social media and it's horrible because for me at that time I didn't want to do anything.

"I didn't want to leave the house because I just wanted normality to resume and I felt for the kids, I felt for the ones that were innocent in this. [I] felt for the ones that were being subjected the things that I couldn't control."

When questioned how she dealt with telling the children what was going on, she revealed that her eldest daughter, who is 17, knows everything as she tells her all.

She did say she tried to tell her not to read any of the information surrounding the case, but admits "the more you tell a 17-year-old not to read something, the more they'll go and do it".

She opened up on how discussion with the teen "reading things that aren't true". She revealed telling her daughter: "[I said] You know, in life, some people like you and some people don't.

"You just have to focus on the people that love you, the people that care about you and ultimately the people that know the truth."

Rebekah insists she still doesn't understand fully what has gone on but said she had to focus on her family.

There were a number of other bombshells raised in the interview as the WAG tried to get her voice heard.

While discussing some of the most shocking, she broke down in tears in front of the camera.

She spoke about the toll on her mental health, how her marriage has become stronger and her plans to return to the public eye better than ever.
