Rebekah Vardy poses in fracture boot after horror horse accident

Rebekah Vardy has posed with her foot in a fracture boot after a horror horse riding accident.

Reports on Monday night suggested the footballer’s wife had broken her heel and fractured part of her foot in the accident on Friday.

The 41-year-old wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy posted a selfie on Instagram on Tuesday morning of her wearing a fracture boot.

In the caption, she made light of her injuries, writing: “Happy Days. Time to glam the boot up.”

Reports suggest the star was taken to A&E after her horse "got spooked and threw her from the saddle.”

The Sun reported Vardy's foot got caught in her stirrup as she fell and she was then dragged along the ground.

“Becky is a confident rider but this accident left her pretty badly shaken," the source said.

She received treatment and was sent home with a boot to support her foot.

“Jamie is taking good care of her and she’s hoping to have the boot taken off in a few weeks," her pal said.

Vardy will no doubt be compared to nemesis Coleen Rooney - who wore a similar boot during the pair’s infamous Wagatha Christie libel trial.

Rooney, 37, underwent a two-year investigation in a bid to find out who was leaking details of her private life to The Sun newspaper.

She has recently opened up about her side of this story in her new Disney+ docuseries, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.

In the three-part series, the WAG said that she had purposely posted a series of false claims on her private Instagram page and blocked everyone but Vardy’s account from seeing them.

One of Rooney’s notable concocted tales claimed the couple were travelling to Mexico to look into “baby gender selection”.

But the social media post was completely fabricated as her former England footballer husband had secretly undergone a vasectomy after welcoming son Cass in 2018.

But soon after revealing their fake plans online, Rooney said that the story found its way into the pages of The Sun and confirmed the leak could have only come from Vardy’s camp.

Vardy launched a libel case against Rooney but ended up losing it when the judge said she was an "untrustworthy witness".
